Programming the GoSight
Tips for successful configuration
- Note the camera serial number printed on the box. You'll need this serial number to associate the camera to the vehicle in MyGeotab.
- Use MyGeotab, in the GoSight section, to check that the camera calibration is correct. Next to the serial number noted above, click on the blue icon for a preview.
- Click on the grey icon to refresh the GoSight health report and check if the installation is correct.
Configuration in MyGeotab - On-board camera - GoSight
- Use MyGeotab, in the GoSight section, to associate the camera with the right vehicle. Click on the white rectangle and select the attached unit.
- Save your changes.
- Select “Rules”.

Check and uncheck the rules that apply to you.
Please note that AI-related rules are only available with Pro and ProPlus plans. You can set the impact of the consequences for rule violations by selecting a value from 0 to 4, where 0 means "No impact" and 4 indicates "Severe impact."
- Save your changes.
Consult a recording
Make a custom request - On-board camera - GoSight
- Go to the GoSight section of MyGeotab to consult a record. Select the "Custom request" option.
- Select :
- 1. Device
- 2. Date time
- 3. Timelapse
- 4. Duration
- 5. Video type
- 6. Main frame
- Click on "Submit".
- Click on "Options".
- 1. Select the vehicle.
- 2. Press "Device" or "Driver".
- 3. Press "Apply changes".
- On the right, you'll see recorded videos, if any, and pending requests. Select the vehicle to continue.
- View the recording by selecting the one you want. If your video is loading, please wait a few minutes and then refresh your screen.
View event videos - On-board camera - GoSight
- Navigate to the GoSight tab on the MyGeotab platform and click on "Options." Then, proceed with the following steps:
- 1. Select the relevant rules.
- 2. Choose either vehicles or drivers.
- 3. Click "Apply changes."
- Click on a vehicle to display the associated videos. The total number of available videos, as well as those pending, will be shown. The videos will be sorted by vehicle or driver. You can also organize them by name (device or driver), number of videos, severity score, or maximum severity. The severity levels can be set in the rules tab by selecting a score from 0 to 4 for each rule.
- Select the video you wish to view by pressing on it. The videos are organized by event type.
- Watch the video. You have the option to share it, download it, or submit it for a coaching session. You can also add comments, with the option to make them private if needed.
Generate an event report
- To generate an event report, go to the MyGeotab platform, then click on the GoSight tab. In "Options":
- 1. Select Vehicles
- 2. Select Rules
- 3. Press "Device" or "Driver"
- 4. Press Apply changes
- Click on the green download icon, and a confirmation message will appear on your screen indicating that the report is being downloaded. The report will automatically be exported in Excel format.
