Users - NFC Smart Key Profile Configuration

 
When an NFC chip reader (IOX-NFCREADER) is used for driver identification, it is required to associate each NFC chip serial number with a driver user.

Please note that the NFC reader and the Geotab Drive application cannot be used at the same time.

NFC Smart Key driver profile configuration

In the Administration tab > Users > select the driver.

1. Click on the driver tab
2. In the KEYS section, click on Add a new driver key
    
   
3. From the drop-down menu, select the NFC type
4. Enter the key number and validate with the blue check mark
5. Press Save
   
   
   

Deactivate a Driver NFC Key

1. In the Administration tab > Users > Select the driver.
2. Click on the Driver tab
3. In the KEYS section, press the X to remove the NFC key
4. Press Save
   
   

Replace a NFC Smart Key

1. In the Administration tab > User > select the driver.
2. Click on the Driver tab
3. In the KEYS section, press the pencil to edit the NFC key number
4. Enter the new NFC chip number
5. Press Save
   
   

⚠ The NFC chip can be removed from a profile and assigned to a new profile. ⚠
In this case, remove the chip from the existing profile and add the chip to the new profile.
