Compatibility Tables - Public Works

This document provides compatibility tables for various spreader controllers and other commonly installed onboard sensors in public works vehicles. All integrations require a GO9 installed in the vehicle with a spreader gateway.

Vehicle Assessment Instructions

  1. Have the complete list of vehicles on hand. The list should contain the following information for each vehicle:
    1. VIN
    2. Manufacturer (make and model)
    3. Year
    4. Spreader controller
    5. Temperature sensor model (Is the temperature sensor connected to the spreader controller? *)

* NOTE: If the temperature sensor is connected to the spreader controller, this data is typically captured through Geotab's connection to the controller.

  1. Are there additional equipment to monitor? (Plows, power take-off (PTO), lighting, etc.) *

* NOTE: Geotab does not provide the sensors required to monitor additional equipment.

  1. Conduct a typical vehicle analysis to identify required vehicle interface harnesses. Refer to the Vehicle Interface Harness Assessment Cheat Sheet.
  2. Refer to the compatibility table in this document to determine which controllers are supported and which harness is required for each vehicle.

Installation Guides

For detailed installation instructions, refer to the Winter Solution Installation Guide. NOTE: Geotab does not guarantee that the following suggestions are 100% accurate. These are estimates and are considered best estimates based on experience.
