      Vehicles: Indicator that a vehicle is not transmitting

      A visual indicator is available from the Vehicles tab to determine the data transmission of vehicles.
       
      1-Nov-23-2022-08-04-13-7199-PM The blue bubble icon indicates that the vehicle is transmitting. By pressing the bubble, the location of the vehicle will be displayed on the map.

      2-Nov-23-2022-08-04-13-7259-PM The red connection icon indicates that the device is not transmitting data.

      3-Nov-23-2022-08-04-13-7689-PM The red cloud icon indicates the last date and time the device was transmitted.

      4-Nov-23-2022-08-04-13-7697-PM The grey connection icon indicates that the device has been archived.

      5-Nov-23-2022-08-04-13-7915-PM The grey bubble icon indicates an asset without a Geotab serial number (impossible to locate).

      There are several reasons why a vehicle may not be communicating properly, such as a lack of communication between the device and the vehicle or a poor installation.

      If a device is not communicating properly even though the ignition is ON, follow the diagnostic steps.
