GoSight - What's New

AttriX GoSight updates over the last few years

The GoSight module was updated on April 22, 2024.

Video Recovery Improvement

The development team has recently implemented an essential update designed to enhance video recovery from continuously operating cameras, although such installations are generally discouraged. This patch has significantly shortened the time needed to retrieve videos, reducing it from an average of more than an hour to just under a minute.

Furthermore, the issue with "insignificant trips" has been resolved. Previously, it was impossible to retrieve videos of accidents occurring shortly after departure on trips that lasted less than five minutes through MyGeotab. With the recent improvements, video retrieval is now fully functional for these brief trips, allowing for more effective incident management.

Update from January 23, 2024

New TimeLapse Function

It is now possible to request custom time-lapse queries to capture several minutes of a journey in a single video. This feature allows the condensation of events that occurred over a period of up to 60 minutes into just one minute of video. This option can be particularly useful for analyzing and identifying the causes of various events that occurred during the same journey.

TIMELAPSE ANG

Accessory Camera

The latest version of GoSight now includes monitoring the connection status of accessory cameras. When a camera is recognized, it will automatically be displayed in Live View. This feature is re-evaluated with each trip.

For new camera installations, it is assumed by default that each system includes an accessory camera. Thus, during the first trip after installation, the video stream might temporarily display duplicated images, even in the absence of a dedicated driver’s camera. However, this display will be adjusted and corrected automatically from the first trip onward.

GoSight Health Check

GoSight enhances the monitoring of its autonomous cameras with daily audits to ensure maximum performance and proactive intervention in case of issues. The new health check is now integrated into the GoSight module and is accessible to all Geotab environment administrators. This report provides direct access to camera diagnostics without the need for additional requests. Diagnostics are performed each morning, so there is no need to worry if the time of the last activation shown is from the previous day, even if the vehicle is currently in circulation. The report also includes information about power and calibration issues.

Enhanced Features - Pro Plan

A limit of automatic downloads set at 5 events per day per rule. Additional events are still recorded and available upon request.
A ceiling of 250 events per month, with the possibility to purchase additional event packs.
Optimization of monitoring features to detect poorly positioned or altered cameras, helping to avoid excessive data consumption.
Discontinuation of lane deviation detection feature*.

*May be reactivated if needed.

Video Interaction Tracking Update

We've recently launched an update for GoSight that enhances the tracking of video interactions. With this new feature, every instance of video viewing is logged. Users will notice an indicator showing whether they have already viewed a video. Additionally, administrators can now access a history of users' video views. It's important to note that this tracking only records views from the point of the update's deployment onwards; any views prior to the update are not recorded.

GoSight Event Report Export

You can now directly export a GoSight event report from the event list screen in Excel format. This report is customizable according to the parameters you set, such as date range, specific vehicles, and rules to include. This flexibility allows you to tailor the report precisely to your requirements.

Update from May 2, 2022

Optimization and Feature Updates for GoSight Systems
  • We have significantly optimized the initial loading time for systems managing more than 50 cameras, greatly enhancing efficiency for large fleets. Additionally, we've introduced new support for managing grouped lane deviation events. These events are automatically recorded in our Pro package, with deviations either ignored when the turn signal is active, uploaded if they are the first incident within a 10-minute period, or grouped for any subsequent incidents.
  • Users can easily access and request uploads of grouped events with a single click either from the preview page or directly on the specific video page. We've also achieved an 80% reduction in lane departure events to simplify management and focus more on high-risk behaviours.
  • For our clients in the waste removal industry, we've introduced additional rules and immediately deployed the adapted Geotab Drive module. GoSight now displays the full address on previews and video pages for waste removal-related rules, while for other rules, only the locality is shown.
  • A patch has also been implemented to expedite the processing of custom requests under certain conditions. These enhancements are aimed at making our service more efficient and user-friendly.

Update from April 30, 2022

Lane Deviations
Support for grouped events for lane deviations.
Lane deviations are consistently logged on the Pro package, but not systematically uploaded.
They will be ignored if the turn signal was in use, and uploaded if it is the first event in sequence (per 10-minute period), or grouped if it is a subsequent event.
Grouped events are visible on the overview page.
On the video page, it is possible to view the list of grouped events related to it, and request their upload with one click.

Waste Removal
Support for additional rules for clients in waste removal. The Geotab Drive module has also been updated to support these new rules as well.
For all rules related to waste removal, GoSight now displays the full address in the overview and on the video page. For other rules, only the locality is displayed.

Fix
A fix has been implemented to reduce the delay in processing custom requests in some cases.
Improvement in loading time during initialization (considerable for fleets with more than 50 cameras).
