Hybrid Vehicle - How to create a rule to track driving time in EV mode?
It is possible to create a rule to obtain a report on the distance and duration of the journey in electric mode for hybrid vehicles.
Creating the rule in MyGeotab
**Important** A group or groups must be created beforehand to isolate hybrid and electric vehicles from gasoline vehicles in order to create a rule with specific exceptions.
- Groups & Rules > Rules > Add
- Name
- Name Specify the name of the rule (Example: Hybrid in EV mode)
- Select the color you wish to see in the trip (Example: green)
- Select the group(s) containing hybrid vehicles
- Conditions
- Select "More" then "Driving" in the trip section
- Engine Data > Measurement or Data > Engine RPM > Value: Less than 1
- Add
- Select "More" then "Ignition System" > Value "True"
- Add
- Save
Subsequently, it is possible to process the data to obtain trips for a date before the creation of the rule.
A report can be obtained in the exceptions section of MyGeotab and exported to Excel if needed.
